Rings 3 & 4 of New Telescope Surface Complete 2001/10/15
The third and fourth rings of new, solid panels for the Hartebeesthoek radio
telescope were completed in mid-October 2001. The panels for these rings
were sufficiently small that a panel from ring 3 and one from ring 4 could
be built simultaneously on the "bed of bolts" that gives the surface shape.
This speeded the production rate significantly.
