Disks and Backups

The NCCS has a 1 GByte SCSI hard disk. This is sufficient for doing data collection and observing over short periods of approximately weeks. Over longer periods data has to be moved off the nccs to a backup medium and/or to user's local machines. System software and log files will be backed up on a regular basis over the network onto DAT.
