Observing Programs (Astronomers)

The NCCS has to support a large number of different kinds of observing programs. The programs to be supported can be found in the Requirements & Specifications document. They will be implemented by the respective astronomers once the NCCS is designed and the observing language is defined. Most of the programs should be fairly easy to port once the observing algorithms have been squeezed out of the astronomers and written done in a pseudo-code. Continuum observing will however require considerable restructuring and rewriting in order to unify all the different programs which exist.

Tasks still to be done :

$\Longrightarrow$
GENERATE ALL POSSIBLE OBSERVING ALGORITHMS AS PSEUDO-CODE,
$\Longrightarrow$
IMPLEMENT SUITABLE OBSERVING PROGRAMS IN HIGH LEVEL LANGUAGE AND/OR C.
