NCCS Physcial Configuration (J.Quick)

The NCCS has its own independant Ethernet segment dedicated for doing control. This segment is isolated from the Internet via the main control computer nccs & its backup nccs2 which both have two Ethernet cards and act as IP bridge routers between the control network and the local HartRAO network (and thereby to the Internet). Both computers also provide secondary nameserver service so that the control network can run completely disconnected from the main HartRAO network if necessary. Note that the IP routing only works locally, the control network is not directly reachable from any external site. This section deals with the individual computers that will make up the control network, detailing their hardware and the hardware and software components that they service.
