Map / Directions for driving between OR Tambo International Airport and Amanzingwe:
Here is a link to Google maps setup to show the best route from OR Tambo to Amanzingwe. Slightly shorter routes are possible, but we suggest this one as it is the easiest to navigate.
Driving directions from Google
1. Head South; 260 m
2. Turn right toward Exit 46; 750 m
3. Take exit 46 on the right to merge onto R24 toward Johannesburg; 8.4 km
4. Take the exit onto R24; 1.7 km
5. Take exit 113 for N3 S/N12 toward M2/Kimberley/Germiston/Durban; 400 m
6. Keep right at the fork, follow signs for N3 N/N1/Pretoria 750 m
7. Turn left onto N3; 15.0 km
8. Continue onto N1 Western Bypass; 13.2 km
9. Take exit 90 for Malibongwe Drive toward R512/Lanseria Airport/Randburg; 400 m
10. Turn right onto Malibongwe Dr; 10.7 km
11. Continue onto R512; 23.7 km
12. Turn left to stay on R512. Amanzingwe will be on the left; 1.1 km
Additional Notes:
When leaving the airport (steps 1 to 3 above) just follow signs
to Johannesburg / R24
From the R512, only the gate is visible for Amanzingwe. It will be on
your left and is clearly marked. Turn left onto the drive, you will
drive approximately 2km till you arrive at the entrance to the compound.
If you are driving on the R512, and you see a sign for the "Broederstroom Country Butchery" or a turnoff to "Hartebeeshoek", you have gone too far.
